If you bought a dozen eggs and when you opened the box found only 9 eggs, would you be upset? Today, I took some eggs out of the fridge and noticed that they looked a bit small. My wife said they were labeled large when she bought them. She also had a newer carton labeled “large.” I weighed both eggs. One was 1.5 oz.; the other 2.0 oz. That’s a diff of 6 oz. or, with each “large” egg weighing in at 2.0 oz, equal to 3 eggs. Ergo 9 eggs, though you paid for a dozen “large” eggs. Am I the only one who openly asks how grocers are screwing us? Has anyone seen how tiny English muffins are now? Or, a candy bar? Is anybody out there? Are you a sheep or a goat?
