If you died today, would that football game really matter? Would that American Idol show still matter? You know, we focus and place our hopes for enjoyment on these things that in a blink of an eye will vanish. Then well stand before the one who really does matter. See we get this misconception that God is boring. That if we trust him to find a wife/husband for us, well get someone ugly or snobbish. Beloved, do you know that God made Everything? That before his throne in Heaven there is a sea of Glass mingled with Fire? That he made the vast arrays of the Orions Belt and the Little and big Dippers? That at his Right hand, are Pleasures Forevermore? That this God could have made human reproduction mundane. Who could have made eating mundane. Beloved, Our God is not boring. Were boring people, because we choose these lesser pleasures over the one who greater things for us in store! You know, people have started to ask me, why is it that all you talk about is Jesus? Christians ask me this. While we spend the final 15 minutes of a sermon sunday morning making lunch plans. Why on Earth would I wanna talk about anything but Jesus? Do you know how Good he is? How Faithful? How Kind and True? That he will never leave you orphaned or dry? Jesus is coming folks. So much sooner than we think. So much sooner. And as Jesus asks, will He Find Faith on the Earth? Well yall, will He?
