If you dont have a gf/ bf, then read this....!!! I am a intellectual girl , I have an unbelievably nice and supportive family. I had a boyfriend , who I thought was my best friend , my soulmate. I loved him to the moon and back. I would have probably ditched my whole family if he had asked me to. I trusted him blindly. And then what happened? He broke my heart. He dumped me. I was shattered. I was lost. Totally lost. The affection I had won was lost. I was on the path of destruction post break up. I almost messed up my graduation , my career , my own self-respect. And you know who helped me get through this tough time? My supportive family and my good relationships. My parents (who by the way compromised and had an arranged marriage) let me take an year break , so that i could figure out what I can do with my totally messed up life. My brother , who I thought was insensitive to my emotions , is the biggest support I have right now. I was able to realise who are my true friends and who arent. And it has taken me one year , one whole year , to get over that guy. It wasnt easy. I now prefer my company the most , I hardly socialize and so on. Why am I telling you all this? Because you seem to think that having a girlfriend or a soulmate is what completes your life. But that is not the truth. The grass is green on the other side , always! Dont attach happiness to finding that soulmate. Love is overrated , relationships are mess and arranged marriage , my dear friend , is never a compromise! I am surprised by your thinking. My parents did not even see each other until the wedding day and today 27 years after their marriage , I can see the love they have for each other. They are true soulmates. They understand each other so well even though they live in different cities due to their jobs. My father comes home once in 45 days. When he does , my mother is full of energy and happiness!! That is love my friend. Do you think it is a compromise? Grow up and understand what is life. I am 21 years old , probably younger than you , but I have a better measure of life than you purely because of experience. So take my experience as advice and stop thinking so much about love.
