If you grew up in the 50s or 60s you learned to look at and inside to bottle of soda before you drank it...because of what was stuck in the bottle from before it was cleaned and refilled......like cigarette butts....I never found any of those......I learned after I started drinking a Nehi Orange and found a banana peel in the bottom.....After that....I learned to look.....I found one of those keys with the wound metal around it that comes opening a can Vienna Sausage in the bottom of a bottle of RC Also we would nail bottle caps on cars that we would make out of wood and old tricycle wheels and race downhill. And we would remove the cork from the back of a bottle cap......put the cap on a t-shirt and hold it in place by putting the cork back in the back of cap with the t-shirt material sandwiched between the 2. And of course looking for deposit bottles on the side of the road because you could get 3 cents for each one taken back to the store.
