If you have a daughter or a niece or any influence on any young women, please take a moment to watch this quick, profound video. It sheds light on how difficult it can be to be a young woman growing up in our society being told directly and indirectly that as a woman, you are weak. I had to combat this quite a bit as an adolescent (and it stills comes up at times). In general, self-confidence drops for girls during puberty and I feel like its time to change the comment you run like a girl into a compliment, rather than an insult. Hats off to my hard-working, fast female friends like TyAnn Johnson Clark, Chikorita De Lego, Amelia Boone, Lois Ricardi Keller, and Megan Heuer, who are great role models to little girls around the country.
