If you have an album that was released in the last year and you - TopicsExpress

If you have an album that was released in the last year and you are from Newfoundland there is no reason to not submit for the ECMAs. They are going to be here on our own soil so there are no excuses. We cant complain that there isnt enough representation from our artists if they dont submit. When we submitted last year for my hubbie Lorne Warr we had no idea what would come of it. We did it though knowing that at the least of it some heavy hitters on the East Coast Music scene were going to listen to his work. CD sales are at an all time low. Yet if you have spent the money to produce your music than why not submit? A few more bucks yes but you never know what will come of it. Lorne got nominated and we were blown away. Do it! Its not that hard. You never know what will come of it if you dont try. From Jen Winsor one of the driving forces behind Music NL: Whats up NL music community? Our showing thus far for East Coast Music Association (ECMA) 2015 St. John’s is not good enough. Only 12 submissions for awards, 7 submissions for showcases and one nod for our industry? ALSO for the first time you don’t need to be an ECMA member to submit for an award or showcase! We all know of the talented music industry we have so why not get some recognition? DEADLINE NEXT Wednesday October 1st. Let’s get the word out and do ECMA April 2015 IN OUR HOME up proper! Please feel free to share
