If you have attended Whoovers meetings or Whooverville, you will probably know Lee Lambert, our treasurer. I have heard today that Lee is seriously ill in the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. Last Tuesday, Lee was rushed into hospital and had an emergency operation to drain an abscess on his brain. This operation, which involved drilling into Lees skull under local anaesthetic was a success, and Lee was apparently very brave. Nonetheless, the doctors are now trying to discover what has caused this problem and Lee remains very ill. You may be surprised to discover that the circulation issues related to Lees ongoing serious heart condition which have recently made him ill, have been ruled out as a cause. I spoke to Lees parents tonight and they tell me that the time is not yet right to visit him, but they would very much welcome get well soon cards, from all of his friends. Please if you can, do drop Lee a card to his home address, which I will provide if you contact me. In addition, if anyone happens to be in contact with any Doctor Who celebrities over the next weeks and can get them to sign a card, it would mean a lot to Lee, I am sure.
