If you missed the talent show, you missed out! We had multiple awesome talent acts shine! And guess what? I WON! I was stressed before we started and for the first half of the day, but I feel blessed that people not only came to watch us and enjoyed themselves but appreciated my poetry as much as I enjoyed writing and sharing it. I love the English language and sculpting it for beauty, for truth, and occasionally just for fun. :) Thanks to all who came out, thank you for my gift card, and thank you MOST of all for supporting the Lighthouse! Thinking this will definitely have to be an annual event!!! P.S. Thanks a bunch to all who helped out, too! Brandon Lewis and Joey Elder for helping set up, clean up, and serve concessions; Tara Randles for her mad emcee skills; Bobbie Medling for her picture-taking talents; Roger Hale for assisting our youth in their acts; Sis Eddings for allowing us to put it on, and everyone who made it happen by supplying your talents! To God be the glory for the smiles we saw tonight. :)
