If you want to attract undue sympathy to your personal political ambitions, there is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED to shed the blood of innocent lives to achieve this monstrous objective. There are many ways of whipping up sentiments - like inventing creepy theories about not having shoes or always conjuring your face in a timidly innocent manner. At least, it will move some voters to cast some ballots in your favour. If you want to discredit an already failed administration, it does not also require the shedding of innocent blood. I mean, the administration has failed so woefully that any determined reptile, chair, table or even an inanimate object should be able to effectively chase away the inhabitants of the rocky mansion. There are more than a million ways of discrediting a self-discredited government outside of shedding human blood. I dont care which side is responsible for the killings, but it is clear that the killings are not unconnected with the current wrestle for political power. In my lecture in Berlin today, I am emphasizing that recurrent political crisis and conflict were unknown to Africa until democracy came along. Its time to start thinking of other forms of government that effectively respond to our pluralist context. Democracy is NOT that solution. Let the killings just stop! NOW!!!
