If you were at our CDHL game last night, you definitely got your monies worth. The game had to be decided in a shootout, final score was 8-7 for the Cougars!! We held that dreaded 3-0 lead until half way through the first. The Hawks came back and tied it up by the end of the period and took what felt like an unsurmountable 7-4 lead, just 10 minutes into the second. The No Quit Cougars struck back at the 17:55 mark on a goal by ONeill and McFarlane finished off the epic comeback to tieer up with a buck 11 left on the clock. It was tense times right up to the final buzzer and then off to the shootout. With momentum on our side, Sly switched the goalies up and put The Dougie back in. Blacky (Mike Blacksmith) and J-Rock (Jordan Renaud) scored with Johnston standing firm and shuttin the door. Hell of a game boys, that is definitely GITTINER DUN!!!! - Pracky tomorrow and then a few days off until we head to Belleville on Saturday, and a match with The Dukes. ~ Cheers! ~
