If youre following a diet/lifestyle (i.e. following food combining, raw veganism, gluten free, 801010, paleo, etc.) AND youre not enjoying it, AND have no clue why youre still following it in the first place... then I ask you this, why do you continue to do so? I bring this up because this is such a common struggle and challenge I encounter with my clients ALL the time. I see ___ doing this diet and so Im doing it... but I dont feel well and Im not getting any results...etc. Its not your fault everyone preaches strict diets and lifestyles and claims them to be the holy grail- this simply isnt true! Some diets (veganism for example) work wonderfully for some and for others, it doesnt work out and guess what, thats okay! Let go the dogma of following a certain lifestyle/diet just because its cool or in or you think its what you should do because you saw person A do it- drop the identity of being vegan raw fill in the blank. YOU are youre own health advocate and only YOU know what diet/lifestyle works for you. Forget everyone else and do your own thing. Im always happy to help answer all of my clients questions and set them up with a plan thats whole foods based and allows them to have the flexibility with taking a little of one lifestyle and meshing it with another.
