Ill give my 2 cents and then Im done. Just listened to Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlins on the radio in response to 2nd Ebola healthcare worker and Im furious. Hes asking people not to panic. I understand that this is his duty. But to reinforce over and over that this could have only been contracted in dealing with the infected persons body fluids...makes me irate. To me it sends a message to the general public that these professionals were somehow lax in their use of universal precautions. Come on people...the last thing your nurse wants to do is get your fluids on her! especially when youre knowingly dealing with a highly contagious, fatal virus. These nurses gloved, gowned and masked and still werent protected....how do you think the general public could fair?
