Ill say this and Ill leave it at that. We know its scripted, we know the results are pre-determined, so is your favorite reality tv shows, so dont turn up your nose to the wrestling fan, but those men and women leave their families for 300 days a year to apply their skill in a 20 x 20 ring and amaze us with athleticism and storytelling and beat their bodies and take years off of their lives...being a wrestling fan the last couple of days have been extremely emotional. For the majority of us, we grew up with this stuff, we grew up watching with our dads and grand-dads on monday nights and weekends, its always gonna be a part of us deep down, no matter how absolute cheesy it gets, its something well all watch with our kids one day. Sunday night, seeing Takers streak break, for a lot of us, a part of our childhood was taken away, and it really bothered me seeing all the potshots being taken at the fans who were legitimately shaken up over it, you could just feel the energy being sucked out of the SUPERdome (Hogan) and the shock and disappointment and this feeling that something you love had been taken away. Personally, I sat there, in shock, I couldnt say anything...and tonight we get the news of Warriors passing, just a bad couple of days.To the 80s wrestling fan, losing Warrior is like my generation losing a Rock, or Stone Cold Steve Austin, its something you never think will happen.Thoughts and prayers to the mans family. Most of all to his 2 little girls. I know how it is to lose a parent. Its not a fun thing to deal with and I couldnt imagine losing one that young. Ive tagged the biggest Warrior fan I know and I know when he wakes up and sees the news hell be in shock just like the rest of us. #LongLiveWarrior.
