Illegal Sign Sweep Results Over the last two weeks, 12 illegal signs were removed by the Code Enforcement Division of the City’s Neighborhood Services Department. 4 Citations were also handed out and no warnings. Most of the seized signs were located in the 78412, 78413 and 78415 zip codes. Since the sweeps began in 2012, Code Enforcement officers have removed 2,808 illegal signs, issued 1,033 citations and given 318 warnings. Every Monday, officers search their assigned areas looking for illegally placed signs, signs on utility poles and in the right of ways.
