Around 2 a.m. Saturday, a man in his 20s was shot to death in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, said Chicago police spokesman Officer Ron Gaines. The man was found in the driver’s seat of a Nissan near the intersection of West End and Kenton avenues. He was unresponsive at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the death, but did not have the man’s identification as of early Saturday. No other information about the shooting was immediately available. At 6:23 p.m. Friday, Anfernee Durant, 19, was found shot in the 7900 block of South Vincennes Avenue, police said. Durant, of the 7800 block of South Loomis Boulevard, suffered gunshot wounds to his foot, leg and side and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiners office. Police said he was a documented gang member. At 6:15 p.m. Friday, police were called to the 6800 block of South Western Avenue, where they found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head, police said. The man was standing outside when an attacker came up to him and fired one shot, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m.. The man was a documented gang member, police said. He was identified as Tyree D. Harris, whose home address was unavailable, according to the medical examiners office. Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a 23-year-old man was shot in the Hermosa neighborhood on the Northwest Side, Sedevic said. The man was inside a vehicle in the 4000 block of West Cortland Street when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the head. The man managed to get to Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center. He was later transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. The mans condition was not available. No one is in custody as a result of the shooting. Around 2 a.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the West Town neighborhood, Gaines said. The man was shot in the 100 block of North Aberdeen Street in the torso and was taken to Stroger hospital, Gaines said, citing preliminary information. The man was walking across the mouth of an alley when a purple van pulled up and someone inside began shooting, Sedevic said. The man’s condition was not immediately available. Around 10:20 p.m. Friday, a 21-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were wounded in a shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, said Chicago police spokeswoman Officer Amina Greer. The two women were walking in the 4500 block of South Marshfield Avenue when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and an attacker stepped out, police said. The offender yelled Saint killer, and fired shots and then fled the scene in the SUV, Greer said. The 21-year-old was shot in the hip and was taken to Stroger hospital, where she was listed in good condition, Greer said. The 20-year-old suffered a graze wound to the buttocks and thumb and refused medical attention. Police said the 20-year-old woman is a documented gang member. No other information about the shooting was available. Around 10:15 p.m. Friday, a 17-year-old male teenager was wounded in a shooting in the Gresham neighborhood, Greer said. The teen was in the 7800 block of South Carpenter Street when three male offenders walked up to him and one of them fired shots, Greer said. The teenager was struck in the foot and managed to run away from the attackers, Greer said. He was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where his condition stabilized. Around 6:50 p.m. Friday, a 20-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, Greer said. The man was standing on a sidewalk in the 5100 block of South Morgan Street when an unknown male attacker walked up to him and fired shots, striking him in the hand, Greer said. The man was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Greer said. Police said the shooting appeared to be gang-related. Around 5:25 p.m. Friday, a man was found shot in a vehicle in the 1500 block of South Trumbull Avenue on the West Side, police said. The 35-year-old man was shot in the neck and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The man was a documented gang member, police said. Officials said a girl about 2 years old was found uninjured in the back seat of the vehicle. Police were investigating. At the same time, a 22-year-old man suffered multiple gunshots to his chest in the 0-100 block of East 67th Street, said police spokeswoman Bari Lemmon. The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said. He is a documented gang member, police said. At 4:45 p.m. Friday, an 18-year-old man was shot in the 7800 block of South Coles Avenue, police said. The man was shot in his right thigh and was taken to South Shore Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said. The man was on the street when a red vehicle drove up and someone from inside fired shots, police said. At 3:30 p.m. Friday, a 19-year-old man was shot in an alley in the 6800 block of South Campbell Avenue, police said. A gray vehicle pulled up to the man and someone inside fired shots, striking the man in the leg. He managed to get himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said. About 9 a.m. Friday, a 14-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were injured in a shooting in the 5100 block of West Division Street in the Austin neighborhood, Sedevic said. The 19-year-old suffered three gunshot wounds and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said. The 14-year-old suffered a graze wound to her leg and was treated on the scene and released, police said. The two were on the block when two unknown males walked up to them and began firing, police said. The two males fled after the shooting. No other details were immediately available. A man was hurt in a self-inflicted shooting Friday evening, police said. Around 10:20 p.m., an 18-year-old man wounded himself in the Dearborn Homes neighborhood, police said. He shot himself in the right thigh in the 2900 block of South Dearborn Street and was treated and released from Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.
