Im a little fustrated and I was hoping you guys could help me out. I exclusively play worship music and have been trying to pick up lead guitar for the past year with little/slow progress... im not sure what Im missing but other than youtubing the songs to see exactly what they are playing I really cant lead.. Ive learned the 5 minor pentatonic patterns and have been trying to use it with no luck. I dont know what Im missing. What scales, chord patterns, etc. do I need to know in order to play lead guitar, improvise, etc? (I even hear people joke about how its 95% U2 but I wouldnt even know how to take those songs and apply them..) I appreciate any and all advice..
