Im almost afraid to post this, because some of my fellow brethren are gonna rant at me about how horrible this is already from the trailer without seeing the movie. BUT, If you think modern day Christian culture is PERFECT, and cant do anything wrong, then youll hate this movie, if you dont, and youve lived in that world for many years, went to the conferences, know the cliches and gimmicks, then you should be very excited for this film. This is a movie that will reach a much bigger audience than any of the Christian films that have come out recently. Its made by Christians, its got a very legitimate Christian artist in it, and I think it will make us re-examine some of modern day Christian culture and what goes on in our youth events and conferences. Ill give you an example of how accurate this movie is, just from the trailer. The organization ONE.org, started by Bono, has been at Soulfest and other Youth events Ive been to over the years. I never gave money to it thank God, because I learned later that it gives a little over 1% of its funds to charity, and is heavily involved with the United Nations, not something we want to be supporting, it it? (video below gives evidence) youtube/watch?v=Fyy0ykPqZn0 Not only that, but it just recently came out, that the lead singer of the Christian metal band As I Lay Dying said he and most of his band mates are atheists, and posed as Christians to tap into the Christian market. Not only that, hes facing charges for paying someone to kill his wife.......yeah No, not everything is that extreme, real Christians are still the ones doing the most good all around the world, and good things come out of our events and the organizations that collect money from them, but here in America, not only is something like 24% of this generation is NOT in church, but the church that is there is driving them away, and resorting to all kinds of ways to entertain Christians to keep them there, rather than challenge them to change the world in effective ways, and not live a double life after the alter call So yeah, Im very excited to see how this movie does, I think its going to be a big wake up call, although there will be plenty of Christians who judge is without seeing it, and plenty of um-believers who will see it as a way to mock Christians and feel better about there sin.
