Im amongst the huge fans of film that dont look forward to the Turner Classic Movies: TCM annual tribute to those in the film profession who have died in the past year. So many Hollywood icons are gone this past year from Lauren Bacall to Mickey Rooney to Shirley Temple to James Garner. To far lesser known actors like Ruby Dee, James Rebhorn, Martha Hyer and Polly Bergen. We also lost outstanding film creators like Richard Attenborough, Mike Nichols and Harold Ramis. This is the first year for me to be very familiar with 90% of those presented in this tribute. Tough year for us film buffs who are sorry to see such creativity, storytelling and acting slide away.
