Im back! Yogyakarta is a city difficult to penetrate. Its a city that has layers and layers of surface before reaching the ordinary skin of its life. At the beginning there are only hotels and shops selling all the same commodity: batik and t-shirts souvenirs, and drivers of becac that stop you every time. The first question you ask yourself is: where is the people of Yogya? Obviously its a lucky city for its inhabitants, because every street in the center there are dozens of hotels or homes used as hotel, and they are almost all full, it means that the work is there. But if you want to see the ordinary life of the people, you have to get a little out of town, look for the kampung, where tourists usually dont go. So, that hold the center for the cultural, artistic life, full of museums and folklore, and beautiful murals, but if you want to know Yogya not like the city, but as a living body, then you have to go outside!
