Im beginning to believe that the stigma associated with the idea of spirituality caused by rational people growing tired of violent and hateful religious groups is simply displacing the awe and wonder of the universe into something non-personified like nature or love. This allows rational people to be spiritual without feeling like anyone would ever think they have anything to do with religion. Interestingly, chemists are more likely to believe in a higher power than any other type of scientist. Its probably because molecules are so magical.
