Im beginning to think that if Jesus Christ were alive and well today, he would be a socialistic freethinker who would hang out with people like the Dalai Llama, he would have encouraged the Occupy Wall Street protests and perhaps even joined them, he would love the philosophies of people like Martin Luther King Jr, and perhaps what would have more impact, he would be despised and denounced by organizations such as the religious right wing, the people of Westborough Baptist church, people like Rush Limbaugh, and by many other groups and people who tout the imperial diadem of modern day Christianity. In the meantime, the Jesus Christ I learned about would break bread with pagans like me and share a nice cup of tea with Popes like this one. ;)
