Im bored so Ive decided to defend my good friend Peyton Manning. People like to talk about Peytons post-season record, how he has the most losses in post-season history. I say bologna! Matt Ryan and Andy Dalton have terrible post season records, Peyton Manning who is near .500 (hell be above .500 after next season I guarantee it) after playing over 20 playoff games does not have a terrible post season record. He lost 3 times in his first 4 years as a pro (making the playoffs as a young QB is an accomplishment whether you win or lose in my eyes). He then lost to NE in 2003 and 2004 (went on to win the superbowl both times) He lost to Pittsburgh in 2005 (went on to win the superbowl). He lost to San Diego twice in very close games (one OT and the other the colts defense couldnt hold a backup QB in the 4th qtr.) He lost to the Jets (You can say its a bad loss, but those Jets also went on to beat New England, and very nearly beat Pittsburgh to go to the superbowl.) He then made it to a superbowl again and lost. He then lost to the Ravens (A game he had won, but Rahim Moore had other plans, Ravens also won the superbowl) He then made it to the superbowl again and lost. So Peyton Manning has made the Post Season 13 times. One time he won the Super Bowl (Bears) Twice he lost in the Super Bowl (New Orleans, Seattle) Four times he lost to the eventual Super Bowl Champion. (NE twice, Pittsburgh, Ravens) Three times he lost early on in his career in his 2nd, 3rd, and 5th years. Three times he lost in close games to surging teams that had a ton of momentum that were decided by less than 6 pts (NYJ, SD twice) Make your own conclusion, but there is no shame in his Playoff record in my eyes, especially when he carried a lot of those Indianapolis Colts teams. I have to scroll down on his wikipedia page to read all the mans achievements. 13× Pro Bowl (1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013) 7× AP First-Team All-Pro (2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013) 3× AP Second-Team All-Pro (1999, 2000, 2006) 5× AP NFL MVP (2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2013) 2× AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year (2004, 2013) AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2012) 4× NFL passing touchdown leader (2000, 2004, 2006, 2013) Indianapolis Colts All-time leader (Career Wins, Passing Touchdowns, Pass Attempts, Pass Completions and Passing Yards) Pro Bowl MVP (2005) 3× AFC Champion (2006, 2009, 2013) Super Bowl champion (XLI) Super Bowl MVP (XLI) Sometimes the ball just has to bounce your way. PEYTON MANNING THE GOAT.
