Im contemplating starting an anthology for writers and artists in Bahrain. Maybe collect submissions covering broad genres like novellas, short stories, flash fiction, poetry, comics, etc. and compile them into big issues four or two times a year and make them available on a self-publishing website. It wouldnt be a magazine, it would be more like a thick book but still similar to what Tin House magazine publishes. It might not make any money and it might not be top-notch material but it would at least give writers in Bahrain a place to aim their work. Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
