Im fortunate to be playing in some very cool bands these days, with some amazing songwriters. Shivakti is one of them. We played a couple of well-received concerts recently (including the best gig ever in the entire history of the universe at The Awakening Centre in Maleny a few weeks ago). We look forward to performing at the opening of Creative Intuitive, a new venue in The Byron Bay Arts and Industry Estate on February 8. Seats are limited, book now! After two years of brewing up a fresh cauldron of inspiration Shivakti bring their magical brand of music, story, song & psychopomp to town. Two new albums represent an eclectic & exciting sonic mix, from guitar tunes to the heart-tugging strains of the Indian dilruba. Bass & hand drum leg shaking grooves, humming harmonium & mellifluous vocals. A journey between the worlds. Featuring Russell Hibbs, The Bard of Byron Bay. Mayinda Mayi, The Swedish Diva from Skane. Mitsuo Hanafusa, The Samurai from Fukuoka. And Anando Bharti, The Buddha of Toowomba.
