Im going to attempt to remember all the businesses and organizations that supported this event. For as many as possible, Ill post a link to their page so that you can either stop by to comment or join for future reference. First of all, a HUGE shout out to Ernest Ledesma of Ledesma Sports Medicine. They serve as title sponsor, and Ernests was the wonderful voice you heard making announcements and singing our national anthem before the ride. If you have PT needs in our area, go see Ledesma Sports Medicine! Ernest has completed many full Iron Man triathlons, so he not only knows his stuff...he lives it! Next Id like to thank the men of SEGA-SORBA, our local mtb group. Headed up by Mark Prince and Lee Kreutz, they provided the top notch vehicle support out on our routes. For those who said, I dont know who those guys are..., theyre SEGA-SORBA. If you enjoy our local trails, join us/them! Any of us can tell you how! Another tremendous thanks goes out to The Distillery that provided the location for our Sunday events. They are always gracious and accommodating, and they provide us with delicious food and drink upon the return from the routes. Chef Matt Kubiak is the one who makes up those delicious sandwiches! Go see them anytime youre out and about in Savannah and looking to dine! Next, many of the members of Coastal Bicycle Touring Club provided support from working registration to offering consulting advice on some re-routes here and there. Longtime supporters of this event, they are top notch folks, and they offer various rides during the week and weekend. Look them up for a ride sometime! John Skiljan of Bicycle Link was at packet pickup and was on site to do some wrenching Sunday am. His team also ran rest stop #8 where it appears some magic was worked on broken bicycle parts! Courtyard by Marriott was our host hotel, and they were very kind and accommodating to us all weekend long. They already have locked in our rate for next year, and they emailed us to say that we were highly thought of by the hotel employees. Daniel Dabbs of Varsity Ink designed our fabulous t-shirts and printed them. See them for your printing needs!! Mark Dee and James Stankowitz of Super Sport Athletic Wear, Inc. were the masterminds behind this years jersey! T Andrew Blaske of The Farm, ETC., is the genius behind the rest stop on Hwy 80 that everyone loves so much. If we had 7 more rest stops that were THAT good, Im not sure ANYONE would ever actually come in from the century to claim those glasses!! Numerous Boy Scout troops ran the other rest stops along with my sons, Trevor, Noah and Forrest Johns. I have to mention my friend, Deb Winzinger Dzurinko, who was out in Guyton on the 100 route. Any event that I dream up, I can count on her support. Fleet Feet Sports Savannah and Robert Espinoza were kind enough to give us use of the arch- along with Savannah Sports Council. And we partnered with Fleet Feets Run For Jane to bring you a day of running if you so desired! Finally, I want to mention Bob Falkenberg of the Bethematch Atlanta organization who partnered with us to help raise funding for this worthwhile campaign to win the war against blood cancers. Again, I have to mention my husband Gentry Johns, my brother, Ashley Harmon, my sister-in-law (soon!), Dia Carver, and my parents, Gail Harmon and Paul Harmon for doing any odd job that needed doing to put out fires and keep my head on straight! Im loathe to make lists like this because Im afraid of inadvertently forgetting someone, but if I did, Ill make amends. THANK YOU to all of these businesses, organizations, and people for pulling together and making this event happen for another year.
