Im in NZ and find it really helpful reading through others experiences. I have an ex 24 weeker now just over 9 months or almost 6 adjusted. Our concern is his very slow weight gain. He was 510g at birth and spent 5 weeks on ventilator. He has lots of chronic lung issues and a grade 4 IVH. We came home at 4 months after surprisingly getting off oxygen support at around his due date. Weight gain has always been an issue and he is only just over 5kg now. He was tracking at the 2nd percentile for the first 4 months but has now dropped right off the chart and is only gaining 10-30g per week. He is breast fed and on solids and he LOVES his solids. Gobbles them up no problem. To see him eat everyone is amazed he doesnt put weight on. We are under dietitian and pediatrician. We add Calogen (basically fat) to his food. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do? Im concerned for his overall development. Hes very delayed in all things baby...but I understand this is expected with microprems. Thanks
