Im just back from Asbury Park, NJ for another magical Light Of Day; one that I wont soon forget. There are so many people to thank for making every year better than the last: Joe DUrso (THE hardest working man in ANY business) and Stone Caravan, Tony Pallagrosi, Willie Nile, (and his insanely great band band: Johnny Pisano, Matt Hogan, Alex Alexander), and Gord Hunter and Ginette Blais, to name a few. Bob Benjamin remains an inspiration; thanks, Bob for moving me to work for this cause and including me in this growing family. This article from Rolling Stone sums it up nicely EXCEPT for one thing: Sam Llanas from the BoDeans (mentioned here among others as rising to the occasion) was, in fact, me. Sam couldnt make it, so I stepped in. And yes, I rubbed elbows with Bruce again. And yes, it still blows my mind.
