Im legitimatelly concerned that eventually the new dance music producers will have completely lost the passion to study music theory. I say this from the best possible place. Music is a language, when you can speak that language you can truly capture peoples hearts. Every day Im reading articles that are practically encouraging new producers to just use samples. Apparently its so easy, anyone can do it. Yes, anyone can throw a beat together, but why aim so low? Dont do this if you want fame and money, do it because you create admirable pieces of art that nobody has done before - do it because you believe you can bring something new to the table. Do you remember the song that first sent shivers down your spine? Do it because you want to give others that same feeling. I passionately believe that you should learn theory, study the art, become hungry for knowledge, treat your art with dignity & create songs that can change lives.
