Im looking for people to profile as part of the Being in Iowa series. These would be Iowans who are contributing to the rich cultural fabric in the state, For example, in the last couple of weeks Ive met a Laotian refugee who is now the principal at Marshalltown High School and a native of India who is leading the surge toward high-tech startups in Des Moines. But they dont all need to be foreign born. They could be a triathlete training for the Ironman competition in Hawaii, or a zookeeper taking care of the large cats at Blank Park Zoo, or a percussionist in a symphony orchestra. Basically anyone with an intriguing story to tell.
