Im not asking for a diagnosis, just advice. My left shoulder had been hurting when benching quite a bit lately. The pain is brought on by rotation (close grip) and decelerating the bar on the way down. When I floor press the pain is minimal if present at all. Touch and go bench hurts like hell due to deceleration. Paused bench hurts, but its manageable. Close grip benching hurts like hell too. Ive been dealing with it for about a month hoping itll go away. It recently started hurting even more so I deloaded intensity and increased the time of pause to maintain difficulty. My question is should I continue with the intensity deload and see how it goes or just stop benching for a while and focus on other things.
