Good Morning, Pictures of Colonia La Mesa off 1015 north of Weslaco. We are going back September 20 with more supplies. Our group of donors has grown, and we are so excited. Our goal is to keep kids motivated and focused on school. Beatrice Briseño Carreon has collected a new pair of shoes for each of the 26 children; she has collected other items. Shea Stubbs- Edmonds and Romaine Stubbs, God willing will be joining us; Shea comes all the way from Corsicana and Romaine from Knox City. Shea is coordinating a sock drive. Thanks to Stan Starrett and Candy Williams. Debra Smith and Byron Hall are also going to make the trip with us next time. Also thanks to Dianne DeBarros and Alfred, Ed and Anne Woods and so many others. During our last trip, the kids received each a school uniform and school supplies. The church where we met the kids is Mision La Mesa. The church is a shabby building. If you have any learning materials or spare Bibles, we will take those as well. Education provides choices for kids in life. Education helps stop poverty. Join us or start a group in your community wherever you live to make a difference through education to help stop poverty.
