Im not going to give anyone a hard time for making jokes about Robin Williams death, but I will admit that Im probably not going to find those jokes funny at this exact moment in time. Eventually, sure, because thats how I generally handle things that make me sad. On a similar subject, I also dont think this is a great time to shame people for being upset, because there are more important news events going on in the world. Its true that there are, but if something means a lot to someone, making people feel like their reactions are foolish or selfish doesnt strike me as a very nice thing to do. All I know is that I have to write an obituary tonight about someone whose work meant a great deal to me, and I really hate the mind space necessary to do that.
