Im not sure if this is a Tech thing, or a specifically math-course - TopicsExpress

Im not sure if this is a Tech thing, or a specifically math-course related phenomenon, but Ive noticed a few things in my math lectures in my short time here. 1) If youre asking the professor a question, dont say is the x there a vector quantity blah blah. S/he cant see where youre pointing, youre at the back of a huge lecture hall. Specify the line youre referring to, otherwise s/he has to guess at what part of the huge board youre referring to. 2) Dont whine when you ask a nonspecific question like above, and the professor doesnt give you a sufficient answer to your question 3) If a student asks a question, IT IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR YOU TO ANSWER THE QUESTION YOURSELF. The professor has been doing it for years, and knows more than you. It doesnt help the person asking the question when youre talking in their ear at the same time as the instructor. 4) Dont be a jerk and loudly complain if the professor is still teaching 2 minutes before class ends. If you really have somewhere to be, and s/he is still talking at the end of class, get up and leave, but dont start talking and being loud. Were all paying for the course, and a little extra time is a pretty nice bargain for those of us that can hang around a few more minutes. I feel like most of this stuff has only gone on during my math lectures, and not so much during my other lectures.
