Im now back in the Philippines, safe and sound and sad. I have stayed in Sri Lanka more than I planned and as much as I am happy to be back, I am heart broken to leave the place which has been my home for the last two weeks. Thank you to everyone behind the World Conference on Youth that allowed me to meet and work with lots of amazing people, the opportunity and memories were great but the fact that I have made a family from all over the world is what makes it unforgettable. I am thankful beyond words. Thank you to my sweet room mate Hanh for being like my big sister and really guiding me in everything, I will forever keep your advice with me. Thank you Imad and Sayed Adeeb for being such cool big brothers, you protected me like your own and showered me with the afghan kind of affection and you both are so sweet! Thank you to my soul sisters Asmaa and Aimilia for being as weird as me, well Asmaas the understanding one and Aimilia the chili girl is the crazy one. :D Thank you Derick for your advice which made me cry, and I will always look back at it whenever I feel like Im out of track again. Thank you to my 3Bs (my bestfriend, my brother, my boyfriend) Bassel and Ayoub, you guys have no idea how much I love you! We are like the three musketeers or the powerpuff girls, the bond I have with the both of you is stronger than with anybody else (Okay maybe except with Hathim though), the night when we were at the beach will always live in my heart - I got to know the both of you well and deep and you know that in whatever you choose to do, I will always back you up. I love you both to bits and pieces. To the one who made my trip colorful, Oko, thank you so much for keeping a smile to my face. I hope you never forget everything I told you when we were saying goodbye. :) To my latino friends that I treasure Diego and Branco hola te amo mucho :D Nyahah and to the Lavinians that I was not able to mention individually, we have been a family and we will always be a family. You guys are irreplaceable! I already miss our breakfasts and jolly bus rides. To the WCY volunteers who helped me a lot, THANK YOU. The conference wouldve been a big mess without you doing your best in keeping it all together. I know there were moments of confusion and uncertainty, but I appreciate all your efforts. :) Thank you Jedesh and Chethaka for bearing my weirdness and craziness, we may not come from the same family but you both have treated me like one and I am forever grateful for having you guys in my life! And... Uhm. Thank you Hathim for keeping up with me and never letting me down. I have a lot to be thankful for and Im trying to keep this as short as possible, so thank you for being a rat. I am grateful to meet people who would do anything just to make me happy, and you are one of those. :) Thank You Sri Lanka for giving me the best memories of my life! Leaving Colombo wasnt as easy as I thought. But I found a home in you and I will surely come back.
