Im overwhelmed by the birthday wishes but also the prayers and sympathetic support over the loss of some dear friends and of dad being in the hospital. Those that really know me more than a casual acquaintance know the happy go lucky guy I am, but also the deeper artsy emotional side. The public doesnt see that a lot. Its only reflected in the work we do. We dont tout it, we do it because its right and we do it out of compassion. In our motorcycle community we endure a lot of tragic situations. We stand by each other to push through then we throw a leg over the saddle and ride. Yesterday was a time I put my heart on sleeve to let you know of the impact the loss of Scott Davis and Missy Deom is having on me and the PCB motorcycle community. PCB is like a second home to me. I work there a lot and am accepted and treated like one of the locals. Ive gotten to know these two well and both before they ever started dating. On Monday Melissa, which I usually called her, called me to sing Happy Birthday and blow me birthday kisses just one hour before she was killed by a careless driver. That in part is why this has impacted me so badly. I trip some of you out, especially the men, when I tell you in public I love you. But youve got to let your family and friends know while you can that you care. Some of those men now beat me to the punch to tell me first and I now hear them tell more of the men and women in the room that they love them too. We might not be able to impact the whole world but we can impact those around us. Thank you again for the birthday wishes and for being part of my world.
