Im running out of strange subject titles. Well, this week was our first full week! Kinda cool, huh? Well, where to begin... Well, this last Monday, after e-mailing, we went to St. Louis. That was quite a drive, let me tell you. Funny thing happened, though. See, we went up to see a mission doctor dude thats there, and while we were there, there was this kid that came up to us and, saying that he didnt like being ignorant, asked us to tell him about our church! We told him all the answers to his questions, and gave him a Book of Mormon! He was reading it the entire time after! It was pretty cool. Tuesday, we went up to one of the farther away parts of our area (there are several places in our area that take about 20 minutes to half an hour to get to, those being Perryville, Marble Hills, and Chaffee), Marble Hills. We have an investigator in a boarding home up there, as well as several members and less actives we had to see. Wednesday, we had our regular district meeting, and went to see an investigator that usually comes to church (he hasnt in a while). We had a fairly decent lesson with him. We also saw a member whos in a heavily assisted nursing home (shes in rough shape), and a less-active was visiting her at the same time. This was all up in Chaffee. After, we did a bunch of work looking through former investigators. Thursday, we did service at the food pantry, saw several potential investigators, met with a less-active, and saw an investigator in jail (for a misdemeaner). That investigator gets out soon, and he reads the Book of Mormon EVERY DAY. Hes super cool, and I cant wait for when he gets out. Lots of work is gonna be done with him. Friday, we did service at a senior center, went through a lot of formers, got some potentials out of it, and saw some less-active members who have 7 dogs! One of their dogs jumped on top of me and licked me like crazy. This dog was also HUGE. I was curled up in a fetal position, laughing hysterically, until the family got her off of me. It was pretty funny. Saturday, we did most of what weve been doing. Setting up appoinments with out investigators and with members, and going through formers and potentials. Lots of sifting. We did see a less-active in Perryville as well. Sunday, we had CHURCH. Good meeting, too. We had lunch with a member family afterwards, the Ward Mission Leaders family (they have 7 kids)! We then went around to see less-actives and members. Good day. Well, that was a long-winded e-mail. TL;DR. xD Love you all! Keep the faith! Elder Stephen Bell
