Im saddened by what has happened at Mars Hill over the last several months. It breaks my heart to think about what his kids are going though. The thing that bothers me is that I fear that it was Christians trowing rocks and making threats. It was stated we the church have two choices we can crucify him or we can pray for restoration in his life though the one was the was already crucified. Over the last couple months Christians have been very quick to attack their own rather than praying for them. (Jars of Clay & Gungor for example) If we cant believe the power of the cross can save others how can we trust its power for own lives. If youre quick to crucify others consider taking another look at the gospel and what Jesus has done for you. Rather than point the finger we need to turn to Jesus, pray for our brothers and speak the Gospel to one another. And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” John 8:7
