Im safe and sound at my nieces house in Ottawa. I only tear up a little bit. My niece rescued me and my dog, along with her mother, sister, and their four dogs. Yea, quite the situation! I want to stress, I am one of the lucky ones. I have great roof damage, siding looking a mess, window or two broken, and a bunch of debris. Unfortunately, I believe that debris is from my church, St Barbaras. This is when the tears come, it is gone! The church and the beautiful rectory is down. God help us with this. Everyone in Cloverdale has received some damage. Some lost their whole home, some parts, garages, and a lot of mess. Of course trees and lines are down. No one is allowed in town. My niece parked outside of the corporation and walked in to get us. We left liked refugees with our wagon of dogs and a couple of bags. Hopefully we will be back in early in the morning, see exactly what has happened in daylight. Again, my precious CJ will set me up with a generator. But it seems no one was hurt! That we are most thankful for. So I am not going to be at school tomorrow, must take care of my home and see what I can do for my church. I am their bookkeeper, I dont know what I can do, but...you know that feeling. My children better be angels for the sub, as I am sure that they will be. And, I do hope that my lesson plans are clear enough for the sub. Thanks for all the prayers and beautiful wishes. This is not the worst catastrophe, but it is bad enough for us.
