Im sitting here reflecting back on the weekend and precious time spent with family. My heart is filled with joy, pride, gratitude and so much love for my wonderful aunt, uncle and cousins for everything theyre doing at Old River Farms. Its a little slice of heaven...one that theyve poured their hearts and souls into...along with lots and lots of hard work and sacrifice. We only see the fruits - not all the labor that goes into to running and maintaining such a wonderful farm. THANK YOU to my sweet Aunt Sue, Uncle Dean and cousins, Michael and Ben for being the humans you are. I am so honored to call you all my family, and do not feel worthy!! So many times we get too busy to take time out for the things that matter most. Ill be honest...when Aunt Sue asked us to come down and help out with the Spring Festival, my mind jumped to all the things I needed to do this weekend. But ya know what? The world did not end because I didnt do those things, and I wouldnt trade the time I spent with family for anything. Sometimes our thoughts on what takes priority gets a bit....whacked.
