Im so embarrased about something that just happened that I have to share! So today, I decided to send the resume of one of my students to several of my employer contacts in efforts of helping him find a job. I double and trippled checked the email for errors and then pressed sent. Shortly after, I realize that instead of BLIND COPYING the employers, I left every single one wide and open for the viewing. In other words, I put them all in the TO box. Well, as if my own shame wasnt enough, one of the employers replied, Do not send me an email that is openly copied to 160 other people who I do not know. Our email addresses, mine and the 160 others should be shown a greater respect for privacy. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! lol Soo embarrased!! lol Well, I apologized to him and then decided to send ANOTHER email to the people--this time blind copied. This email read, Hi there, Just want to apologize for openly cc’ing you and ALL of my contacts in the email I sent earlier.…To say that I was mortified upon realizing this professional faux pas—is an understatement…I hope your [Tuesday] is going swell and I will return back to trying to regain my professional composure... Thank you. Haha! Thankfully all of the others were so understanding and one person even said it was the nicest email shed received in a long time! lol Wow!
