Im so thankful to God for giving this generation men of God like John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Conrad Mbewe, Justin Peters, Phil Johnson who stands up for the infallible truth of Scriptures and will never be tolerant to those who will twist Scriptures to feed their own ego and please themselves. Before Christ Jesus saved me, I have and been part of the Charismatic Christian Church/Word Faith movement for 14 years and I can tell you that everything that happens during their church service and healing crusades are far from honoring God. The Bible warns us that false teachers and false prophets will arise and deceiving many. These people elevate tradition over truth and signs and wonders over Scripture. For those who think that anybody who opens up a Bible in front of a congregation (this includes pastors, elders, pope, priest, women teachers, cardinals, etc) speaks what the word of God really means, dont be deceived. Be like the Bereans who will study Scripture and not just believe what the likes of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Paula White, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, etc say. Most of what they say and do really sounds and look appealing because it caters to an unregenerate world. It caters to the flesh. If you say you love God but will never study the Bible or will put the traditions of the church and men over the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, please examine yourself if you are truly in the faith (2Corinthians13:5). If you want to know the truth of who Jesus Christ is and what it means to be a genuine Christian, I plead and encourage you to read the gospel of John and the book of Romans. Before you read it, pray to God that He will give you understanding and wisdom to know the truth! Everyday, someones eternity is at stake whether he/she goes to heaven or hell! Theres no purgatory or second chance. The Bible says, And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. (Hebrews 9:27, 28 NASB) To God be the glory alone!!!
