Im supporting my friends Beverly Upton and Jacqui Naylor as they fight an #EllisAct eviction that would force them out of the building that they have called home for 25 years. This would be a loss not only for them, but also for our citys character. They live in the historic Rube Goldberg Building, built in 1911 by the famous SF Chronicle political cartoonist and inventor of the Rube Goldberg machine. Their buildings owner has proposed replacing the Rube Goldberg Building with a multi-story condo complex. Beverly, Jacqui and Rube Goldberg’s granddaughter are hosting a trunk sale today to raise money for a landmark designation report, which could be their last chance to save their building: bit.ly/XjNIFN
