Im thankful for so many things that Im humbled. Im thankful for - TopicsExpress

Im thankful for so many things that Im humbled. Im thankful for life. Im thankful that I care when family, friends and complete strangers experience death, what I prefer to consider as that Great Transition, into another realm of existence... even if that existence is dirt. Our consciousness will either expire completely and fade away back to their elemental particles or something much more profound will happen. So many family and friends have made that transition this past year. It seems like Im just getting through remembering the life someone has just lived and Im doing it over again within the blink of an eye. Im thankful to acknowledge that every day is another chance to learn something about myself and those around me and to give something back - even if that something is a piece of fiction Ive composed, created a disturbance in the reader that in turn helped someone, including myself, pass through a portal of growth and change. I am so thankful for Cora, Austin, Morgan and Patches our cat. This is my daily life. Its always amazing. Im thankful for my brother, Ken and my sisters Judie and Shanni... my siblings. And my Mom and Dad - Dad who passed on back in 1993 and Mom, still boxing at 88 years old. I really cant even begin to express my gratitude for all of you. Naming names pales into virtual insignificance because I appreciate you for so many things. So many of you have comforted me, inspired me, made me laugh (and a few other things I wont mention) but nevertheless all of you have touched me. Im thankful for the decision I made to complete my goal of writing a twelve novel series. Ive spent the last six years working on this and have loved every minute of it. There are only two books left to complete the series. There will be over a million words written when I finish. It will probably take me another six years to get them ready for publication. It certainly has been my magnificient obsession. The universe is vast. Together, we make it a little less intimidating by the love and care that we share. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
