Im truly amazed at the total team transformations that I get to witness. I can work for 2 hours with a negative team and see them be transformed into positive thinkers in such a short period of time. This solidifies my belief that our child care staff want to feel more positive and productive. They are really wonderful people. The challenge is they have trouble sustaining their motivation especially when greeted by co-workers and others who are less than positive. Are you with me? There are 2 things you must do to inspire greatness from your people. 1. Let them feel that you have a strong, positive belief in them 2. Create an environment that supports positive thoughts and positive actions. Its easy to default to a child care environment that operates in negativity and neediness. But child care leaders - your staff need you to empower them and inspire them as opposed to enabling them to stay stuck. Show them whats possible through the great vision you have for your program and life and let them DREAM BIG about their vision and their life. Are you with me?
