Im trying to break into the lighting job arena(getting tired of my retail job). I volunteer to do all of the lights at my church and we have a fairly nice setup, and we do big events several times a year. and because of this I am building skills in both light design and working with some rather huge personalities, and with a largish verity of equipment and I have a huge passion for it, I LOVE when a show comes together, love the expression of my creativity and even trying to dive into the mind of the pastors wife to make what she sees in her mind a reality. So the short question is what is the best way to get a job locally (Denver metro area)? a rental house? or a theater?
