Im wondering what all the physics-minded people here think of this. Im somewhat skeptical of whether this works. Do you get a net gain in energy after subtracting what it takes to pump the water 48 miles and to the top of the tower? Maybe the lake is above the tower, but would you get more energy using that water for traditional hydroelectric power? Im inclined to think that solar energy is needed to reheat the air and complete the cycle (energy always has to come from somewhere), but they think they can run this all night. What do you think?
