Imma be honest. Doing that interview today brought up alot of phuckin ill feelings. I thought I was over that shit but my last shop really screwed me over yo. I lost so much time, money, and lost my license behind people and their jealousy, insecurities, and ego. I worked my phuckin ass off. I made the damn definition of the term BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS. Im angry on the low. Im expressing this to get it off my chest. I have never in my life have somebody take my hard work & efforts... my talent. My all. And just snatch it away without a second thought. There are some dirty, arrogant, racist, disloyal, money hungry individuals in this industry. Before its all said & done youre going to see how far my hands take me. And youre going to be sick. I promise Im taking notes. By the time I get to where my mind has me going youll be long forgotten. For now just know that my goal isnt a piece of paper anymore. Truth be told anybody can have that obtained. Its what your art & tattoo work says about you that matters. And alot of you.. owners, tattoo artist, wanna be tattoo artist talk alot but cant back it up. Licensed or not. Everybody in the world knows that to be true. How many have gone to a shop and got a tattoo you regret, had scarring, faded, or just not what you asked for to keep it simple??? ** raising my hand.. I know I have. And recently! ! That license doesnt make or break you. And to be completely honest... that test was cake. I finished 90 minutes early and beat the score of my sponsor.. Ive only been tattooing 4 years and have so much more to learn. That license doesnt mean squat if I took it to Cali, New York, or any where else. It will be obtained again. Only so I can open up my own shop here just to prove another point. Ill win. I am as far as proof can take me the first black female licensed in Va. My sponsor looked me right in my face and told me he only gave me a chance after revoking my ls (as well as the other apprentice) in secret a whole month after we had passed that.. he only hired me because Im black and nobody else would.... yea.. thats what he said... Idgaf if I was purple, pink, or yellow. . Im a dope artist period. . Weather tattoo is placed before that or not.. and Im happy he said this to my face bc Id rather know whos really in my corner & who is just there to join this ride... IM A BEAST... EVERYBODY WILL KNOW THIS TO BE FACT ONE DAY...
