Immersed in Joy Through Victorious Faith Through Jesus the fallen sons of Adam become sons of God. Both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: For which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren. Hebrews 2:11. The Christians life should be one of faith, of victory, and joy in God. Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: And this is the victory that overcometh the world, Even our faith. 1 John 5:4. (Special Note: The Hebrew word for faith is ĕmûnâh. It means firmness, security, fidelity, stability. It also means truth itself. Therefore, it means steadiness in the truth-- Especially in experience, which is a journey, not merely intellect. This is what gives us true joy, Which is our strength of physical, spiritual, and mental heath...) Truly spoke Gods servant Nehemiah: The joy of Jehovah is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10. And Paul says: Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Philippians 4:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. --Great Controversy, Page 477 How do we remain steady in the truth (have faith, or faithfulness)? It is by our connection with Christ (through unceasing prayer and praise). If we truly receive Christ, we are in the journey of receiving His truth, Which is His faith (the faith of Jesus), For He is the living Way, Truth, and life. He is the living Torah. And, friends, I can personally attest to this. When Im immersed in Christ, Who is Truth, Im immersed in joy. A merry [rejoicing] heart doeth good like a medicine. Proverbs 17:22. Gratitude, rejoicing, benevolence, trust in Gods love and care-- These are healths greatest safeguard. To the Israelites they were to be the very keynote of life. {MH 281.3} The journey made three times a year to the annual feasts at Jerusalem, The weeks sojourn in booths during the Feast of Tabernacles, Were opportunities for outdoor recreation and social life. These feasts were occasions of rejoicing, Made sweeter and more tender by the hospitable welcome Given to the stranger, the Levite, and the poor. *Rejoice in every good thing which Jehovah thy God hath given unto thee* (Deuteronomy 26:11). --Ministry of Healing, Page 281 Friends, did you catch that? We are to rejoice in EVERY good thing that God gives us, says the Torah. We have lost touch with reality; we are consumed with earthly things. But to the Hebrew, who we are to be, Thanks was to be given each and every time we receive something good, Even the little things throughout the day. We are missing out on much joy because we have lost sight of the Torah, Which is to be our faith and our joy if we firmly keep it on our journey. The most joyful part of the Torah was the festivals, the holy days. And we are missing out. But we are on a journey, and God will restore to us what has been lost. Each New Moon, especially in the 7th month, is to be joyful. And as we do this, we will find more joy on the Seventh-day Sabbaths too. And if we do all this, we will find more joy every day, Especially if we are praying to and praising Jehovah, Meditating upon His Torah truth in conversation with Him. This is the life I want to have, what about you? Could we use this New Moon as a time of renewal, To restore these things in us? Amen. Lets praise our God Israel!
