Important Update about the Sewer Line Break in Valley Forge: My office has been in contact with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding the sewer line break that leaked waste into the Valley Forge Park creek. We are continuing to monitor the situation. The project to repair the sewer line began this morning and is expected to be finished this evening. Some animal life will likely be affected as a result of this discharge into the creek. Nearby water treatment plants are monitoring the quality of the water they are obtaining and are prepared to acquire water from other sources if the need should arise.
