In 1973, while working as an employee for TK records, Harry Casey - TopicsExpress

In 1973, while working as an employee for TK records, Harry Casey met engineer David Finch and together they formed KC And The Sunshine Band. 1974, while working on demos for their next album, the band created an instrumental called Rock Your Baby in about 45 minutes. Although George McCrae was not initially chosen to sing vocals for the song, he just so happened to be in the studio at the time of the recording. He asked KC if he could add a vocal track to the demo and the result was a international success. The song peaked at number 1 in 51 countries including the USA and is listed as the worldwide highest grossing single of the 1970s. The song was a breakthrough for KC And The Sunshine Band, who would move on to record many hit albums and singles during 1970s. Rock Your Baby later inspired a follow up tune by Gwen McCrae called Rockin Chair and was the inspiration for John Lennons chord progression in Whatever Gets You Through The Night. Seventies fans all over the globe are familiar with George McCraes version of Rock Your Baby, so I decided to include KCs original instrumental version of the song that was recorded in 1974 and released as a single in 1976. Unfortunately, It was not a huge success like Georges version but is definitely is a great piece of work!! https://youtube/watch?v=Z3Fl03NwjVs
